Ranking, Comparison & Editorial Methodology
Transparency rules for organic results, sponsored placement and software/company comparisons.
Organic ranking principles
Organic results may use factors such as query relevance, category/technology match, geography, completeness, freshness, verification/claim status, structured-data quality, user intent and other quality signals. The exact weighting may change as the service improves. We disclose the main parameters in plain language without exposing security-sensitive anti-abuse logic.
Sponsored placement
Payment may place a company, product, job or advertiser in a clearly identified sponsored/advertising slot. Sponsored placement is a separate commercial layer and does not silently overwrite the organic-quality score. Labels such as “Sponsored” or “Advertisement” appear at the placement itself.
Comparisons
Software/product comparisons may use vendor-supplied, official, licensed, researched or publicly documented factual information. Pricing and feature information shows a verification or “last checked” date where practical. Missing information is shown as unknown/not verified rather than inferred or invented.
Affiliate relationships
Affiliate compensation does not determine the organic score or the factual conclusion of a comparison. Where a click or purchase may generate a commission, the relationship is disclosed clearly near the relevant recommendation or commercial link. See the Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure.
Editorial corrections
Material factual errors are corrected promptly when reliable evidence is provided. Significant methodology changes are reflected on this page with an updated date.
