Description
PLAYERSBEST is an online lead generation company that creates quality leads in highly competitive verticals, such as iGaming, Financials, Health and Communications. We focus on building high-end websites with quality content that let customers make an informed decision about the product they’re about to buy or sign-up to. We pride ourselves on adopting a customer-focused approach to quality and usability.
About the role
We are expanding our Data & BI team and looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to own the data model and the medallion framework (Bronze, Silver, Gold) that turn raw data into trusted, business-ready numbers. Our platform runs on Google Cloud, with dbt on BigQuery, Airflow and ClickHouse.
What you'll do
Design and own the medallion framework: Bronze for raw landing, Silver for cleaned and conformed data, Gold for business-ready marts
Design the core dimensional model of facts and dimensions (traffic, clicks, registrations, deposits, commissions, costs), with clear grain and conformed keys
Build these layers as tested, documented transformation models with agreed business definitions
Write and maintain Airflow DAGs, and use ClickHouse for high-volume event data
Add data quality checks and alerts, help integrate new sources, and take part in architecture discussions and code reviews
What we're looking for
At least 4 years' working experience as a Data Engineer or Data Warehouse developer
Working experience in the iGaming or affiliate marketing industry
Excellent, confident SQL: complex joins, window functions and tuning queries on large datasets
Very good, production-level Python for pipelines, API integrations and automation
Hands-on experience with dbt, Airflow and BigQuery (or Snowflake, Redshift), with ClickHouse as a plus
Strong data modelling skills: star schemas, fact grain, conformed dimensions, slowly changing dimensions and surrogate keys
Proven experience designing and building a layered (medallion) architecture in production
Experience with Git and CI/CD
Uses AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code or Copilot) to speed up development, and reviews what they produce
Very good communication skills in English (mandatory)
Experience with Spark/PySpark, Databricks, Delta Lake, AWS (S3, AppFlow, Step Functions), ClickHouse or Terraform (nice to have).
What we offer
Collaborative Environment: Work closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams in a dynamic, data-driven culture that values your expertise
Competitive Compensation: A competitive salary, performance-based incentives, and other benefits
Flexible & Remote-Friendly: Work remotely, on-site, or hybrid, with the flexibility to suit your lifestyle
